EMX GROUNDLOOP, is the actual ground loop manufactured by EMX, designed to be used with the D-TEK units to be inserted into the road or driveway. How it works, a magnetic field is projected outwards from the ground loop beneath the driveway, this magnetic field will sense any metal objects, bearing in mind the sensitivity levels can be adjusted so it will only sense vehicles (motorbikes, cars, trucks). Once the vehicle is detected by the ground loop this will open the automated gate, the loop can be turned on/off.
